Volunteers have been out and about since May 2014, helping thousands of people in their communities to reduce what they throw away.

They've attended events included the Haslemere Food Festival, where they talked to more than 300 people about reducing food waste - and many shared their top tips.

They were also at village fetes across the summer to promote recycling, food waste reduction and home composting.

At the University of Surrey's Money Week students benefited from the knowledge of our volunteers who helped them learn how to save up to £60 a month, just by reducing the amount of food they waste.

Volunteers also give school assemblies, talks to community groups, write articles for the Eco-Blog and some host cloth nappy trial kits for families to try.
